Product information

Welcome spring with February Gold Daffodils (Narcissus)! This cheerful spring bloomer transforms your balcony into a colorful golden-yellow scene. Daffodils are also excellent naturalisers: once planted, they return in greater numbers year after year without you having to do a thing. The bulbs are of top quality, carefully selected for optimal germination and abundant blooms.

Flowering period: Feb–Apr

Ideal location: Sunny

Height: 25–40 cm

Reaches full size after: one spring after planting in autumn

Winter hardy: Yes

Best planting time: Sep–Nov

Plant the bulbs separately and scattered for a natural, wild effect, or close together for a full block of colour.

Daffodils grow 25 to 40 centimeters tall on a sturdy stem, which is well resistant to wind in a densely planted container. They need full sun, which a balcony often has in abundance. The bulbs are hardy in winter and survive the cold of a pot on an open balcony without extra protection.

Do daffodils come back every year?

Yes, daffodils are excellent naturalisers: once planted, they spread further on their own year after year.

Are daffodils suitable for a balcony in a pot?

Yes, daffodils do very well in a pot or planter in a sunny spot.

How deep should I plant the bulbs?

Plant daffodil bulbs 10–15 cm deep, with the pointed end facing up.
